The Oil Minister inaugurates the installation of electronic luggage belts at Seiyun International Airport

His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Abdullah Ba Abboud, and with him Mr. Essam Habrish Al Kathiri, Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate for the Valley and Desert Directorates, inaugurated the implementation of the project to add electronic luggage belts to Seiyun International Airport provided by the Safer Company for Exploration and Production Operations and the Yemen Gas Company within the framework of the two companies ’support to the sectors Government.
And at the inauguration event, the Minister of Oil and Minerals praised the partnership between the units of the Ministry of Oil and the government sectors in a way that works to develop their services provided to citizens, stressing the speedy installation of luggage belts to enter service during the coming period.

In turn, Dr. Anwar Salem Hassan, Executive Director of the Yemeni Gas Company, explained that this project comes within the framework of the company’s bilateral relationship with the Civil Aviation Authority and Seiyun Airport in appreciation of the important role of the airport that it has played during the past years in light of the suspension of most of the country’s airports, indicating that a number will be installed Two electronic luggage belts that were manufactured by a specialized Romanian company and arrived at Seiyun International Airport and will be installed within a period of 40 days.

The Director of Sayun International Airport, Mr. Ali Bakathir, extended his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Oil and the two national companies, SAFER and Gas, for financing this important project, which will work to create quality transportation in the airport terminals.
The inauguration activities were attended by Captain Saleh Salim bin Naim, Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Major General Salih Muhammad Taymis, Commander of the First Military Region, and a number of officials.
