The Minister of Oil and Minerals discusses with his Kuwaiti counterpart aspects of partnership and cooperation between the two brotherly countries

His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Sulaiman Al-Shammasi, discussed with his counterpart, His Excellency Dr. Saad Al-Barrak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment of the sisterly State of Kuwait, aspects of partnership and cooperation between the two brotherly countries on the sidelines of the activities of the Arab Energy Conference in the Qatari capital, Doha.
During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed, and cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the fields of energy was reviewed.
His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Al-Shammasi, touched on the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields and the honorable positions of the State of Kuwait and its honorable people to stand with the Yemeni government and the Yemeni people in overcoming the challenges.
The Minister of Oil and Minerals reviewed many joint investment opportunities to develop and modernize the Aden Refineries Company in a way that contributes to enhancing energy supplies and investment in the fields of exploration, oil production, refining, mining, and the possibility of working to provide facilities to provide oil derivatives to local markets.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Saad Al-Barrak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment of the State of Kuwait, expressed the historical relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing that the Kuwaiti government stands with the Yemeni government and provides all forms of support to overcome the difficult circumstances that Yemen is going through…. In principle, he welcomed joint and effective work with the Ministry of Oil and Minerals to stimulate investment opportunities in the energy fields.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Rajeh Badi, our country’s ambassador to Qatar, His Excellency Ambassador Khaled Al-Mutairi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Qatar, and a number of officials from the two ministries.
