The Governor of Hadramout and the Minister of Oil and Minerals discuss aspects of enhancing supply stability for petroleum derivatives and domestic gas

The Governor of Hadhramaut, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, discussed today in Mukalla with the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Suleiman Al-Shammasi, aspects of enhancing the supply stability of oil derivatives and domestic gas in the governorate.

 

During the meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the Governorate, Mr. Saleh Abboud Al-Omqi, the Governor was briefed on the ongoing studies in the Ministry to implement the project to transfer the strategic storage of petroleum derivatives from the Khalaf area in Mukalla to the city of Broom, in addition to projects to establish the strategic storage station for domestic gas and the refinery.

 

The governor and the minister stressed the importance of stabilizing the supply situation for petroleum derivatives and domestic gas, and mutual coordination to advance strategic projects, most notably the Hadhramout refinery project and transferring strategic storage to the site allocated to it in the city of Broom, noting the provision of the necessary facilities for the success of these projects that will contribute to stabilizing the supply situation in the governorate.
