The Minister of Oil and Minerals visits Petro Messila and reviews its business progress

His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, and the Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate for the Directorates of Wadi and Desert, Mr. Essam Al Kathiri, paid an inspection visit to Petro Messila Company, Block 14, and Minister Baaboud was received, Director of Block 14, Eng. Suhail bin Sahl, and Brigadier Ahmed Al-Ammari, Leader of Corporate Protection and Directors of Sector Departments .
Minister Baaboud said that the visit comes within the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, which stems from the wide interest that His Excellency attaches to.
The minister emphasized that the visit comes within the ministry’s plan to see the progress of the company’s work in various oil fields and discuss ways of joint cooperation, referring to the important role of Petro Messila, which is considered one of the most important national achievements that must be preserved and developed, and to provide it with all possible support means.
Pointing out that the Houthi militias, since their coup against state institutions and obstructing them in destroying the national economy, as oil resources constituted 70% of the state’s resources before the war, and among the most important resources is the economy and the general budget, and an essential part of foreign exchange.
Minister Baaboud touched on the challenges, obstacles and problems facing the company, stressing his interest in this aspect and working with the government and the President of the Republic to overcome all obstacles and overcome them.
He called for the same importance to accommodate the current stage and the conditions of war and the need for joint work between the Ministry’s units, and to discuss more than one new oil sector, stressing that it comes within clear directions from His Excellency President Field Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the government on the need to limit the operation of diesel electricity, dependence on gas and benefit from expertise and experiences.
He praised the role of Petro Messila Company in supporting community development in various aspects and fields.
Minister Baaboud concluded his visit by inspecting the sector’s departments, seeing the progress of work, and discussing the employees’ needs.
The minister was accompanied by the first undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, Eng. Shawqi Al-Mikhlafi, and the Undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate, Sheikh Salem bin Sharman, Dr. Anwar Hassan, Executive Director of the Yemeni Gas Company, Engineer Ghaleb Mabkhout bin Muayli, Acting Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company, and Director General of External Relations at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Raed Yunus And the directors of the Yemeni Oil Company in Hadramout governorate are Mr. Abdulrahman Belfas and Dr. Khaled Al-Akbari.
