The Minister of Oil and Minerals meets with the Deputy Executive Director for Technical Affairs of Petro Messila and directs the company to increase production and start work in Sector 51

Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, Minister of Oil and Minerals, discussed today in the temporary capital Aden with Eng. Sahl bin Sahl, Deputy Executive Director of Petro Messila Company, the technical and investment program of Petro Messila during the coming period in the concession areas granted to the company and the possibilities available to expand and invest the opportunities that the company enjoys in this field.

In the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Saeed Al-Shammasi, Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, the Minister of Oil and Minerals praised the great experience enjoyed by Petro Messila and the success that the company has achieved during the past years despite the challenges and complex circumstances to prove its competence in managing one of the most important economic establishments in the Republic.

Pointing out the company’s successes in maintaining the continuation of production levels
And the continuation of work with high efficiency in all operations sites in the sectors (10 – 14 – 51 – 53), in the export port in Dhabba, and in the two energy building projects in Aden.

The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, said that with all these successes, Petro Messila has a greater responsibility to make a difference in the oil industry in Yemen.

He added: The experience enjoyed by Petro Messila is considered one of the most important factors of strength for the oil sector, especially the technical and legal cadres enjoyed by the company, as a result of the diversity and accumulation of experience the company has acquired from multinational petroleum companies, the most important of which are Canadian Nexen Canada and Total France.

For his part, Eng. Sahl bin Sahl reviewed the investment program of the company and its exclusivity with many successes and works, as it is the first oil company in Yemen that works on its own and is still digging new wells and bringing in experts in drilling work.

Bin Sahl said that the company’s biggest successes, which all the company’s employees are proud of during the past year, were social responsibility in all areas and development and humanitarian needs..including: the implementation of local development projects for concession areas in areas that are directly related to the needs of the residents adjacent to the company’s operations sites in health and education projects. Education, water and electricity.

Petromasila supplies the power stations in Hadramout, a coast and a valley with subsidized diesel, and also covers part of the local market’s needs through the oil company at an encouraging cost.
