The Minister of Oil and Minerals meets the Vice President of the French company Total in the Middle East and North Africa

Mr. Abdul Salam Abdullah Baaboud, Minister of Oil and Minerals, met today with Mr. Romoric Ragnon, Vice President of Total for the Middle East and North Africa, Yemen, Lebanon and Cyprus and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemen LNG.
The meeting discussed coordination and joint work regarding the Yemen Liquefied Gas Company (YLNG).

The minister welcomed the deputy director of the company, noting the depth of the strategic relationship with Total, the investment business, and the prospects for joint work and investment in the oil and gas field.

He pointed out that the French company, Total, ranks fifth in the world, and that Yemen is keen to encourage international companies to expand their investments in the oil map, especially after the situation has stabilized, the investment environment improved, and all the conditions conducive to the work of companies are provided.

For his part, the Vice President of Total affirmed the company’s keenness on the company’s interest in enhancing its presence and investment projects in its concessions sites and business in a number of oil sectors, in a way that contributes to supporting the Yemeni economy and achieving common interest.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Sulaiman Al-Shamasi, and Eng. Nada Aman, Assistant Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, and Muhammad Againa, Director General of Total Yemen  representative of Total in the gas project.
