The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, confirmed that His Excellency the President of the Republic, Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, pays wide attention to the minerals sector because of its importance in supporting the national economy and providing job opportunities for young people.
He stressed that the Ministry will pay attention to this sector by encouraging investment and paying attention to the geological map with the importance of work and preserving the environment in a way that achieves sustainable development.

Minister Baaboud indicated that this visit comes to inspect and see the work progress in the authority and discuss the most important issues of importance to the development of the authority’s work .. indicating the need to complete the institutional work, develop the technical aspects, intensify the field of training and qualification, and benefit from information technology and digital transformation in a way that enhances the benefit from advanced experiences. Minister Baaboud stressed the importance of preserving state rights and local content, and achieving and supporting community development.
For his part, the Director General of the Authority’s branch, Eng. Salah Babhair, welcomed the visit of the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, to the branch of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority in Hadramout Coast, which confirms its interest in the minerals sector, affirming that the authority’s branch will work according to the ministry’s program plan for the development of the mineral sector to achieve the desired aspirations .
