Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, Minister of Oil and Minerals, discussed today, through visual communication techniques, with Mr. Issa Abdul Rahim, Executive Director General of Vitol International, ways to develop and strengthen bilateral trade relations between the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and Vitol, which is one of the leading global oil companies in the field of oil trade.
Vitol is one of the most important companies that buy Yemeni crude oil and has been supplying oil derivatives to the local market for many years.
During the meeting, which took place through visual communication techniques, His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to encourage international oil companies and provide appropriate opportunities for investment in the Republic of Yemen, as the oil and gas sector is one of the promising sectors that needs the entry of such companies qualified to contribute to the development and development.
He pointed to the Ministry’s encouragement for qualified companies, especially in the field of modernizing and developing Aden Refinery and Nashima Petroleum Port, which are considered one of the most important strategic projects that come among the most important priorities and objectives that the Ministry is working to implement during the coming period.
His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals touched on the tireless efforts made by the senior leadership and the government represented by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals to work on improving the mechanisms of importing oil derivatives to ensure their smooth availability in the local market for what serves citizens.
For his part, the General Manager of the Bahraini Vitol Company expressed his deep thanks to the efforts and care that the government, represented by the Ministry, gives to the companies … expressing the company’s interest in working on translating the Ministry’s directions, supplying the local market and expanding and developing the cooperation relationship for what serves the Yemeni community.
