The Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals launched a series of hypothetical scientific meetings in geology at the Authority’s headquarters
Dr. Saeed Suleiman Al-Shamasi inaugurated this afternoon, at the headquarters of the Authority in the temporary capital Aden, a series of hypothetical scientific meetings in geology, organized by the College of Petroleum and Minerals at the University of Aden and in cooperation with the Yemeni Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority during the period from 12 to 30 January 2021 AD, and presented by a distinguished group of Yemeni academics and specialists with the aim of exchanging scientific experiences and providing participants with knowledge about geology.
The launch of the hypothetical scientific meetings series on the Zoom platform began with a word of welcome to the meeting coordinators, Professor Hamdi Saleh Al-Darrab, College of Petroleum and Minerals, Aden University, and Eng. Bashar Al-Tayeb, the Aden Geological Survey Authority, and a speech by the President of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources, Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Tamimi, and a speech by Dr. Ismail Nasser Al-Junad, President Former Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, the General Director of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority branch in Hadramout, Eng. Salah Ahmad Babhair, and a speech by the Dean of the College of Petroleum and Minerals, Dr. Muhammad Nasser Al-Mutahri.
Dr. Al-Shamasi, Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Abdullah Ba Abboud, to the participants, and stated in his speech that holding such scientific meetings is a translation of the agreement of understanding and cooperation between the Ministry of Oil and Minerals represented by the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority and the University of Aden.
The holding of such scientific meetings through visual communication technology comes as a result of the exceptional health conditions that the world is going through after the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, stressing that the Ministry encourages the establishment of such scientific meetings, which will reap those scientific meetings on the acquisition of expertise and experiences and the transfer of knowledge for the benefit of researchers and specialists And those interested in geology in all parts of the homeland and abroad,
As the number of participants reached more than a thousand and a hundred participants from inside and outside the country, it indicates the extent of interest in such scientific seminars that keep pace with the scientific and intellectual development in the science of geology, and the Ministry will support all scientific and practical activities and we will always be present in order to develop the capabilities of the staff, researchers, specialists and interested parties.
