The Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals inspects the pipeline and the port of Nashima in Shabwa

Today, Dr. Saeed Al-Shamasi, Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, inspected Al-Nashma Port in Shabwa Governorate, which was subjected to sabotage yesterday.
The Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals was briefed on the procedures that the company is implementing to repair the pipeline, which was attacked yesterday.

Dr. Saeed Al-Shammasi heard from the officials the measures taken and the work that the maintenance team does to repair the pipeline … and the work carried out by the company to repair the pipeline and pump oil normally.

The Deputy Oil Minister directed the company in coordination with the local authority in the governorate and the security authorities to take new arrangements that would strengthen security oversight to protect the pipeline from any sabotage attempt that affects security and the public interest.

A sabotage operation blew up the pipeline near the port of Nashima at Kilo 192, according to the security official’s report. Investigations are still underway to find out the saboteurs who carried out this sabotage act, which aimed to destabilize security and stability … and harm the general interest of society.
