Minister Baaboud and Governor Bin Yasir lay the foundation stone for the construction project for the Aircraft Supply Administration at Al-Ghaydah Airport

Within the framework of his visit to Al-Mahra governorate, Mr. Abdul Salam Abdullah Baaboud, Minister of Oil and Minerals, and with him Mr. Muhammad Ali Yasser, Governor of Al-Mahra Governorate and Chairman of the Local Council, laid the foundation stone for the project to establish a building for the Aircraft Supply Administration at Al-Ghaydah International Airport, funded by the oil company in the governorate, and in coordination with the General Administration of the Oil Company Of the republic.
Minister Baaboud emphasized that this important project comes within the ministry’s vision for developing infrastructure in order to achieve development and stability.
For his part, the Director General of the Oil Company branch in Al-Mahra Governorate, Engineer Mohsen Ali Belhaf, explained that this project costing approximately $ 150,000, which includes the construction of a building equipped with a laboratory for examining jet fuel and a staff building with the possibility of adding other departments in the future, indicating that the project includes operating the entire administration with Renovation of existing tanks for aviation fuel and refueling vehicles and maintenance of the German refueling truck.
He pointed out that the aircraft catering department at Al-Ghaydah Airport will be restarted with the resumption of operations of Al-Ghaydah Airport in the near future and after it was stopped for a long time, stressing that the project is self-financing from the Yemeni Oil Company branch in Al-Mahra in coordination with the General Administration of the Republic Oil Company.
Laying the foundation stone was attended by a number of officials.
