During his visit to the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, the Minister of Oil and Minerals directs the preparation of a new promotional vision
This morning, His Excellency Mr. Abdul Salam Abdullah Baaboud, Minister of Oil and Minerals, visited the headquarters of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority in the temporary capital of Aden to review the activities, progress of work, future plans, programs and activities of the Authority for the current year 2021.
During the visit, Minister Baaboud held a meeting with the leadership and staff of the authority in which they reviewed the field studies work, the investment opportunities that are being promoted, the activities organized by the authority during the past period, and the programs and technical projects that the authority implements in the field. In order to implement the tasks entrusted to it and to activate its technical and investment activities by attracting national and foreign capital to invest in the mineral sector
His Excellency Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud directed to quickly prepare a guide for promoting the mineral sector with a new vision to keep pace with the changes witnessed by the means of communication and information technology … stressing the speedy start of procedures for establishing a center specialized in technical and informational works and promoting the updating of data, information and maps in a way that enables the ministry and its units to benefit from this The project began to participate in exhibitions and promotional conferences locally and abroad, especially since the mineral sector is one of the important and promising economic sectors and needs more promotion and utilization of global technology and similar experiences of brotherly and friendly countries in this field.
The meeting discussed the company’s orientations to invest in Yemen .. The Minister of Oil affirmed the government’s encouragement for companies operating in this field in accordance with the advantages guaranteed by the Mines and Quarries Law, stressing at the same time the importance of providing an opportunity for local workers and giving social responsibility its importance and that this should be part of local development as a moral and legal obligation In accordance with the laws that preserve the rights of the state and at the same time provide incentives and facilities for companies investing in this sector.
Mr. Wang Dingfeng said that the Black Horse Company is investing in the field of black sand and is currently working on establishing a production plant for separating associated minerals in the Eastern Rayda area in Hadramout Governorate.
For his part, Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Yamani, Chairman of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority, affirmed that this project will contribute to studying one of the blocks, determining the ore reserve at the study site with core drilling, and conducting preliminary tests and semi-industrial experiments through separation.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Authority – Hadramout Eng. Salah Babhair, director of the company, the Yemen branch, Ashraf Imad Siddiq.
