The Minister of Oil and Minerals, Abdul Salam Baaboud, discussed today in the temporary capital Aden with the Executive Director of Safer Company for Production and Exploration Operations and Acting General Director of the Yemen Oil Refining Company, Eng. The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Saeed Al-Shammasi, touched on the technical and investment program prepared by Safer and the Yemeni Oil Refining Company within the available capabilities during the coming period, and how to face the difficulties facing work, and to strengthen the joint practical efforts adopted by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals.

The Minister stressed the importance of the role of SAFER and the Oil Refining Company in improving and developing the mechanisms and means of work in the oil sector in the country, as it is one of the most important national companies operating in the field of oil exploration and production, in the technical and legal aspects and in logistical support .. praising the great efforts made by the company to confront All difficulties and challenges to continue its work as required.

He also directed the formation of a joint committee between the Ministry, SAFER and Petro Messila companies, and Wycom Corporation to cooperate and coordinate the implementation of programs that would contribute to the development of the oil industry and make a difference in this field to achieve the fast track as these three companies represent the national arm of the state in the field of oil and gas, and work on The development and development of Sector 18, which depends on active participation in the development of the sector, and the preparation of a study for the maintenance of the Sector 4 pipeline and how to develop Al-Nashima Port, by Safer Company.

Baaboud added that the ministry will provide the necessary support to the company in implementing its national work, as it is one of the most important tributaries of the national economy.
For his part, Eng. Salem Kaiti reviewed the nature of the company’s work and its conditions, future technical, practical and development plans and programs, and the challenges and risks facing its work in relation to the Safir reservoir in Hodeidah port.
