Al Shamasy meets with the leadership of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority in the temporary capital, Aden

Dr. Saeed Suleiman Al-Shamasi, Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, met today, Tuesday morning, at the headquarters of the Authority in the temporary capital, Aden, with the leadership of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority and its branches
Al-Shamasy discussed with the authority’s leadership the practical plans and programs to implement the geological and exploratory studies that the authority and its branches carry out in the minerals and investment mining sector.
The meeting was devoted to discussing the conditions and protests of the authority and its branches of infrastructure, searching for sources of funding to implement it according to the plan of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, and the proposal of the Commission, and qualifying the technical, administrative and financial staff, which is an essential step for human development, and to raise the level of the authority.

The Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals urged the leadership of the Authority to activate and expand the activities of the Authority and its branches in line with the demand of the local and international market, and to optimize the preparation of international participation in conferences, workshops, and symposiums, to promote metallic and nonmetallic mineral investments, and to renew relations with the mineral and scientific bodies and organizations, including the Mining Organization Al-Arabi, headquartered in Morocco, and the Arab Mining Company, headquartered in Jordan, which is considered a basic and effective member within this organization and the company, and the organization’s periodic participations annually with the holding of international conferences

Al-Shammasi stated that the government represented by the Ministry of Oil and Minerals is making all efforts to recover the national economy and encourage investment in all its fields in order to contribute to the economic and social development of the country.
The Deputy Minister also praised the cadres and experiences enjoyed by the Geological Survey and its branches, noting that the field of mining is an essential support for the economy.

After the meeting ended, the Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals concluded by visiting the laboratory and the authority’s workshop, accompanied by the Authority’s Chairman, Eng. Ahmed Al-Tamimi, and the Director General of the Hadramout Branch, Eng. Salah Babhair. And the deputy of the Aden branch, Ms. Ibtisam Aqlan, for the authority’s workshop, where he was briefed on the work and arrangements that took place in the workshop, including repair, rehabilitation and maintenance of excavators, and the discussion was about the deadly equipment and how to broadcast it to improve the situation of the workshop section of the authority, and he listened to a detailed explanation by the department’s specialists.
