The Minister of Oil and Minerals inspects the station of the deceased Awad Al-Soqtari in Shahr

His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, paid an inspection visit to the station of the deceased Awad Al-Soqtari in Shahr, during the visit in which he was accompanied by the first undersecretary of Hadramout Governorate, Sheikh Amr bin Habrish, and Minister Baaboud was received by the station manager, Eng. Saleh Jaber, and the station management directors.
Minister Baaboud said that the visit comes within the directives and interest of His Excellency President Field Marshal Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi to provide electricity and operate it, alleviate the suffering of citizens and overcome all obstacles.
Minister Baaboud pointed out that the Ministry of Oil and Minerals aims to overcome the obstacles that hinder the power stations, stressing that the ministry will play an important role in relying on gas in the stations as an alternative to diesel and diesel, as it constitutes a burden on the state and increases the suffering of citizens, which comes within the direction of the government’s program.
Minister Baaboud emphasized that the station of the deceased Awad Al-Socotri represents a modern model with its modern means, as the station has a capacity of 40 megawatts with four generators, which are operated by diesel and diesel fuel, and can accommodate its operation with gas.
For his part, the director of the deceased station Awad Al-Saqtari in Al-Shahr, Eng. Saleh Jaber, welcomed the visit of His Excellency the Minister of Oil and Minerals, Mr. Abdul Salam Baaboud, to the station and to confirm his support in providing the station’s need of fuel and energy.
Pointing out that the station leadership will keep pace with the government’s program to rely on operating electricity with gas, as the station has the ability to accommodate its operation.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Minister Baaboud for his visit, which comes as an affirmation of the importance of electricity and achieving ways of joint cooperation.
The minister was accompanied during his visit by a number of officials.
